Lillafüred Trout Farm and Smokery

(Located on the road from Lillafüred to Ómassa)

Tucked away beside the Garadna stream, this forest fish hatchery is a true mecca for trout lovers. For decades, visitors have made the journey here for one reason: freshly roasted trout, prepared with a secret blend of spices and served in the heart of the Bükk Mountains.

The farm also functions as a gene bank for trout species and features 18 open-air pools, which can be visited year-round. From spring to autumn, it’s one of the best forest spots to stop for a snack and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
