In one of the most beautiful and diverse regions of Hungary, in the western Bükk Mountains, runs the Lillafüred Forest Railway – the second busiest narrow-gauge railway in the country. Its most popular stop is the fabulously beautiful Lillafüred, located near the famous Palace Hotel and the Hanging Gardens. The line’s final stop is Garadna, a beloved resting place and a starting point for many excursions. Along the way, the service also provides access to the Lillafüred Trout Farm and the Fazola Valley.

The forest railway station is just a 3-minute walk from our apartment – so it would be a pity to miss this unforgettable ride!
